Reasons on why people quit
Research by various organizations declares that 92 percent of people (~ 7,44,51,97,468) fail to achieve their goals and 43 percent of the world population (~ 3,44,24,03,130) give up on their new year resolution before the second month of the year.
Above is the scenario that the world is fitting in with. I am left with no words when I saw these statistics.
Let me address the issues with everyone battling between the will that urges them to do things and the fear they develop once they face hardships in keeping up with the new skill.
1. Lack of Confidence:
One of the most common and foremost things that the majority of people fail is the lack of confidence and inner strength to push through the hard times. The lack of belief in you and the efforts that you undertake in clearing your path. To get out of this blur vision and seek out help, bury the self that constantly pulls you down. Promise yourself that you are going to create your own empire.
2. Lack of self-esteem:
This is a crucial thing in building up yourself. To soar up, value yourself as a person first. Give a top spot to yourself and admire you and the efforts that you put in. No one respects and recognizes you until you especially regard yourself.
3. Lack of motivation:
Motivation might be the first reason why you take great steps to cruise ahead in your life. You might have received that by various means. As for me, writing is a way to ward off my pain. I shared my writing with everyone. Most of the people supported me in moving forth but only one of them did what I never expected and that changed my view. Not only do you do things with great charm but you also do that for yourself. Always encourage anyone who seeks reward and attention for their work.
4. Fear of making decisions:
This comes in many forms and yet is a common thing that most people are afraid of.
What if I mess up? What if my decision goes wrong? What if I fail? How am I battling this?
The above are the questions that everyone gets once they reach a specific level, i.e., the level before success. If you put in a little effort then everything will be yours. But, that is the exact level where 92 percent of the population gives up on not only the efforts but them. Decision-making is important but there is no such thing called a bad decision. Every decision that we take is meant to somehow take us to a specific level. Likely to be a chess game, you are provided with your turns. Each step you take at your turn is important. If you fear losing the game, then make no steps and fail which is worse than playing your turn and failing. The amount of regret that strikes you each time will be enormous if you don't even make a step. Have no fear and master everything you love.
5. Not playing bold:
Playing bold means staying away from the evil ones who are keeping an eye on you on any occasion. Have faith and play bold. Not only do they stay away but also they don't even dare to mess up with you. People judge us no matter what we do. The best way to handle that situation is by avoiding the words they spill out at you. Once the words find a way to strike you, the game is over. They shatter your confidence level and occlude you from moving forth.
Stay firm and never imbibe the harsh words they scream out at you.
6. Having no faith:
Success accompanies those who trust the process and does them with great joy. If reaching the top level is that easy everyone might have got a special treat.
The mind is everything, what you think you become.
- Buddha.
7. Always regretting:
Regretting what have or haven't you done before is the greatest threat to you and your future endeavors. People regret all the time intentionally or unintentionally. That is because they fail to realize that they have beautiful days ahead to live like what they wished for. If you spend too much time regretting rather than doing things, it will lessen your ability to stand up again from a major trauma. Regaining your power and embracing yourself after a major disaster is the thing you should practice to get by.
8. Comparing themselves with the pros:
This is very relatable to me as well. Whenever we immerse ourselves in a new skill, we always wonder how everyone masters those in a very effective way. At some point, one constantly pulls him/her down by wondering at others. This is like giving up on learning the English alphabet just because someone is very skilled at writing and speaking the same thing. The point is he/she fails to investigate how long someone has been doing that and how much time, effort, patience, and love it costs to master that. We were that keen to learn when we were kids right.
What would happen if a kid complains that the teacher knows more than him, so he plans to quit? What would happen if he compares his writings to real fonts available elsewhere?
These things would never happen or barely happen because as kids we would never estimate or judge ourselves instead we value and love each small step we make, and so are our parents.
// I have written a blog dealing completely with this topic with the title " NOT EVERYONE ARE MASTERS". If you are interested, dig in!
9. Lack of a firm bond with you:
Having a special, unbreakable bond with the person whom you love is essential.
Now, tell me whom do you love the most?
I would say, it's the person who stood by my side all the time. ( The person - none other than myself).
I have established a firm and special bond with myself. I used to talk to myself every day and I seek out some time to spend with myself every single day. Ever since I laid this bond with myself, I was performing well with taking decisions and handling my emotions. Have a try! it will be worth it.
10. Afraid of making mistakes:
Well, if you are a person who loves perfection, it is completely okay. But at the beginning of a new journey, put 'correction over perfection'.
It means making mistakes makes your path to attaining perfection an easy one.
When I started writing I wasn't worried about grammatical mistakes. I was focusing only on my point and instilling my views upon anyone who reads that. Some people point out my mistakes in a friendly manner or in the worst ever way possible. But that didn't stop me from moving ahead and pursuing my passion. Even now I make mistakes. Mistakes are something that indicates that you are trying to upbuild yourself.
Stand still and the world is for those who think that they can do anything.
Peace✌
